The students in the 9th grade English immersion program studied about the man made islands that have been built in places like Dubai.
Students worked together in groups to plan, design and present their islands. They had to consider the purpose of the island, size and location,
daily life on the island and environmental issues and concerns. Students were very creative in coming up with their islands plan and designs, and
presented in front of all of their fellow English immersion classmates all in English. Some other highlights from this years immersion class has been
writing original ghost and wildlife stories, and taking part in a full debate at English Day.

イマージョンコースの英語の授業で9年生はドバイなどに建設されている人工島について学びました。
生徒たちはグループで協力し、自分たちの島を企画、設計、そして発表をしました。
島の目的、大きさ、場所、島での日常生活、そして環境問題と懸念についてよく考える必要がありました。
島の企画や設計の発想において生徒たちは素晴らしい創造性を発揮し、発表はイマージョンコースの英語クラスの仲間全員の前で全て英語で行いました。
その他に今年のイマージョンコースで印象深い取り組みは、独創的な幽霊や野生生物の登場する物語の執筆と、イングリッシュデーでの本格的な討論への参加です。
