If the answer is yes, then you should sign up for the Hiroshima Peace Marathon.
The Hiroshima Peace Marathon will be held on the 3rd of November and we hope to have a large crowd of students and teachers running together for peace. Last year over 90 students, teachers and parents ran together and we hope to improve on that number.
Mr. McCarthy and Mr. Tobikakiuchi are organising the event and their goal is to have over 100 people from AICJ participate in this run. We already have 28 teachers signed up and we would love to see many more students as well as their parents entering the race this year as well. It doesn't matter if you are not a strong runner. The main point is to have fun and enjoy the day.
Last week reporters from the Chugoku Shinbun newspaper came to school to watch the teachers during a training run of 1.5km. The distance for the marathon is 5km so the teachers who couldn't finish this distance might have to do some more training before the big event.
