"Contribution" If I care only for myself, who am I?

What is AICJ?

AICJ stands for "Academy for the International Community in Japan". We aim to provide an educational environment in which students become contributing members of the global community, equipped with English communication skills, critical thinking, creativity, and inter-cultural understanding

Our logo was designed from symbols in Japan and New Zealand. A triangle roof with respect refers to the home of the New Zealand indigenous tribe, the Maori. The silver fern also refers to New Zealand. Dragonflies used to be called akitsu, and have long been popular in Japan. In ancient times, the Japanese mainland was called Akitsu-shima; therefore, we used dragonflies as icons representing Japan.

Our Goals

"Contribution" and "Independence" - these are the two principles which those who join AICJ must achieve. Students are expectd to develop not only their higher academic skills but also leadership, independence, and a spirit of volunteering which is required in the global community.
