Curriculum Outline

Pathways to top Universities in Japan and Overseas

Provides pathways to top universities in Japan and overseas. Two pathways are available from grade 9 depending on the goals of the student. Tokyo, Waseda, Keio Course (Todai-sokei course). We aim for our students to go to elite public and private universities (Toyko, Kyoto, Osaka, Hitotsubashi, Tokyo Institute of Technology, National Medical school, Waseda, Keoi and Sophia Universities) straight from High School. Students begin the High School curriculum in grade 9, a year earlier so that in their final school year (grade 12) they can prepare for the National center test; study past papers in preparation for elite private universities; and second stage entrance exams for National Universities.

IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma Course

The IB Diploma course raises students to become global leaders. AICJ’s group school Auckland International College in New Zealand has students accepted by elite universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Princeton and MIT. Students who embark on an IB diploma course are required to study two languages. Therefore, students have the opportunity to become bilingual.

Values Japanese Identity

Without knowing your own culture and history you will not be able to understand and respect the culture of others. At AICJ we provide students with the opportunity to learn more about their own culture through activities such as moral lesson, calligraphy, and tea ceremony, in addition to Japanese language and literature and social studies. To cultivate students patriotism AICJ raises the National flag and the National anthem is sung.

AICJ is fully supported by Oshu cram school which has a long history of success. All study materials, curriculum and teaching expertise are available to help students understand the best ways to study and learn so they can get in to the University of their choice.
